The Patent Pilot Program

in the Northern District of Texas

As many of you already know, the Northern District of Texas has been selected to participate in the Patent Pilot Program (follow this link for more information on the program).  Thanks to everyone who attended the Judges' Panel on July 26 that featured the Hon. Barbara M. G. Lynn,  Hon. David C. Godbey, and Hon. Ed Kinkeade.  As the Judges indicated, they are interested in hearing from the IP bar suggestions and ideas regarding how the implementation of the Program can be implemented and improved.  Please send your input and feedback to PatentPilotProgram@dbaip.com.  We will collect, organize, and forward the comments anonymously to the Judges.

Also, as the Judges suggested, the DBA IP Section will work to implement a forum for discussing the many suggestions that are directed more to changes in the local rules (rather than implementation of the Program) and to see what recommendations the group as a whole can make to the Judges.  We will circulate more information soon.  In the meantime, if you have any suggestions that you have not already made, please send them to the above email address.
